London Fashion Week 2018

What a run up to the autumn-winter season it has been! September saw the bi-annual SS19 Fashion Week take place in fashion capitals around the globe, which brought with it very first BJORNE of Norway catwalk show appearance at LFW.

Under the production of House of iKons, this was a very exciting project for me, to say the least. A milestone in my career as a designer, from which I was able to look back on how far I’ve journeyed in this industry of excellence.

The anticipation and expectations were, of course, extremely high. It is the most integral date on the fashion calendar, after all. It goes without saying that it was an amazing feeling to see my collection of 12 scarves and bags pranced confidently on the catwalk. And what better venue for it than then the capital’s Millennium Gloucester Hotel.

As you can see, the press turn-out for the event was tremendous! While it was exciting to be caught up in the frantic nature of fashion week, I did at times have to pinch myself to take in the reality that my newborn brand has come so far so soon. It’s such a privilege, and wonderful to see months and years of hard work come to fruition.

I was also excited to have a stand in the exhibition area for the whole weekend, where I was able to sell my range to the public. To customers who made a purchase, thank you! Please do send across your images; I’d love to see how you’re styling your scarf and what with. Alternatively, catch our attention on Instagram with the hashtag #BJORNEofNorway

Experiencing London Fashion Week definitely prepared me for another fantastic fashion-orientated week at Handmade at Kew. The event took place from 4 to 7 October in the stunning setting of Kew Gardens in South West London.

Featuring various craft artists and designers, and selling a wide range of products including jewellery, ceramics, illustrations, textiles and much more, this eclectic event was all organised, incredibly, by handmadeinbritain.

As another first for me, this was the brand’s opening sales event and it made for an amazing four days of valuable feedback, great sales, and the opportunity to meet other designers from different backgrounds. I’m already looking forward to my next events in 2019.

If you missed my stall, don’t worry. You can visit my shop online to purchase all items from my range including Scarves, Pocket Squares, Clutch bags & Neo pouches.
